We have an exciting opportunity for an MHE Driver (X1) within our Supply Chain Team! This position will be based at our offices in the Hammarsdale Distribution Centre (Darkstore) and will report directly to the Darkstore Supervisor.

By taking on this opportunity, you will play a significant role within the business by ensuring the correct movement of pallets in and around the DC and to ensure that all stock is placed in the correct put away areas as directed. Also, by complying with the standard operating procedures to ensuring the smooth flow of stock within the Distribution Centre in a productive, accurate and efficient manner
Matric /Grade 12/ NQF level 4 equivalent
A valid Forklift License and Reach Truck license
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
KNOWLEDGE required:

Warehouse management system knowledge (WMS) , Pick & Pack system
Basic understanding of DC operations and e-commerce
Previous Dark store e-commerce experience.

Appreciation for systems / technology


+/- 3 years previous knowledge of and experience in driving a Forklift and Reach Truck
Experience working in an operations environment (e.g. DC /Warehouse environment) as part of a team.

Experience using a handheld device as part of a warehouse management system
Similar experience in a Clothing/Textile/Retail industry.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily production units are processed effectively and efficiently
Ensure all tasks are completed as per SOP’s
Ensuring adherence to the Health and Safety Policy and that all deviations are addressed timeously
Participate in and take ownership of 5S in the workplace
Ensure participation within the departmental teams and the DC team
Awareness of the cost implications within the DC environment.
Ability to manage oneself according to the company value system.
