Position Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Administrator (6 month contract) that is passionate about retail and thrives on analysis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Invoicing – Cosmetics commission, salary rebate, marketing and markdown
  • Clearing customer accounts on vendors where necessary
  • Payment follow-up/age analysis and ensure invoices are claimed in an acceptable time frame
  • Cosmetics markdown analysis/recon
  • Compile monthly GL recons
  • Monthly pivot table preparations and cost centre reports
  • Run purchases recon & dummy account
  • Markdown recon
  • Cost centre database update
  • Do necessary journals
  • Cost centre name changes
  • Assist with queries
  • Pull daily turnover report
  • Monthly rental follow ups
  • Run monthly cosmetics Shared Beauty Advisors report
  • Quarterly rental store budgeting
  • Budget loading on BPC and ensure it reconciles to SAP
  • Assist with annual DC stocktake
  • Arrange new GL accounts
  • Acknowledgement of non trading branches
  • Update of the Shared Beauty Advisor list
  • Cosmetics Shared Beauty Advisor queries

Essential Requirements are:

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
  • 1 year experience within a finance environment
  • 1 year admin experience
  • MS Excel (advanced advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of Finance ( SAP, BPC and Turnover system) and Merchandise systems (Decision and ODBMS)
  • Excels at data analysis
  • A high degree of numeracy
  • Ability to show initiative and be resourceful
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to interact on all levels.
  • Strong team player as you are required to work with various departments across the Group.

Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
