Job Purpose

Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a competent individual to render general administrative support functions to the Office of the Head Official. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure in dynamic office. This post is Based in Cape Town, CBD.

Minimum Requirements

Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).

Recommendation

A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence; Experience in the following: Administration; Document tracking and document management; MS Office package; Willingness to work irregular hours (when required).

Key Performance Areas

Administer all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Head Official on MyContent, including the follow-up thereof, scanning and keeping up to date the document registers; Administer the routing of emails to relevant branches/units to action, including the follow-up thereof and maintaining and keeping the Task Tracker updated; Ensure correct filling of all cabinet submissions and other correspondence on MyContent, on relevant files and archiving at registry; Render general administrative support in the Office of the HOD, which includes managing the Treasury boardroom in terms of the e-calendar, setup of equipment and assist with catering for all HOD meetings.

Remuneration

R 173 703 per annum (Salary Level 5) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
