POSITION : STORE CONTROLLER

Purpose of the job
Manage store administrative responsibilities & ensure the achieving of sales budgets, cash budgets, and friendly customer service at the point of sale.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in managing store finances in line with budgets
2. Ensure administration & management of information
3. Manage daily, weekly or monthly stock counts
4. Assist store manager in maintaining health & safety
5. Assist in opening of customer accounts & processing
6. Liaise with head office with all admin related queries
7. Ensure all banking processes are in place
8. Ensure merchandise controls are adhered to (e.g. tagging, pricing etc.)
9. Manage receiving & dispatch of merchandise
10. Ensure stock-take preparations
11. Ensure core operational business processes are in place
12. Ensure excellent customer service
Job Requirement:
1. Extensive knowledge in sales & cash desk management
2. Good product knowledge of John Craig brands
3. Computer literate in Microsoft suite and JC In-house system
4. Minimum three years at John Craig or Retail
5. Matric/ post qualification
6. Fully proficient in English (communication & spoken language)
7. Ability to work independently with a team
8. Function well under pressure
9. Attention to detail & accuracy
10. Flexible, and self-driven
